Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.

Position Overview:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will leverage your extensive experience with Azure cloud services, Terraform, and DevOps practices to drive efficiency and scalability in our development and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

·        Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including Virtual Machines (VMs), App Services, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

·        Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management.

·        Implement and maintain Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for infrastructure as code.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

·        Develop and manage Terraform scripts to provision and manage cloud resources.

·        Ensure best practices for version control and modular design of IaC.

CI/CD Pipelines:

·        Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

·        Integrate automated testing and deployment processes to enhance delivery efficiency.

·        Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build and deployment processes.

Monitoring and Performance:

·        Set up and configure monitoring tools to ensure the performance, availability, and reliability of cloud services.

·        Analyse performance metrics and logs to identify and resolve issues proactively.

Collaboration and Support:

·        Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and provide guidance on best practices for DevOps.

·        Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.

Continuous Improvement:

·        Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve practices and tooling.

·        Drive initiatives for process improvements and automation.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience:

·        Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in DevOps or a similar role, with a strong focus on Azure cloud services.

·        Proven experience with Azure cloud resources, including VMs, App Services, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

·        Hands-on experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and Terraform for infrastructure as code.

·        Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.

Technical Skills:

·        Expertise in Azure cloud services and best practices.

·        Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.

·        Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.

·        Strong knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer).

·        Experience with additional cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.

·        Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
