ServiceNow Developer / Admin

Job Description:

The ServiceNow Developer will specialize in designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions while ensuring compliance with organizational objectives and industry best practices. The Service Now Developer will occasionally provide administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support.

Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, and deploy ServiceNow applications and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.
  • Customize ServiceNow applications using scripting, workflows, interfaces, and business rules.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshoot issues to optimize the functionality and performance of ServiceNow applications.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all technical specifications.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external applications and legacy systems using tools such as REST, SOAP APIs, and MID Servers.
  • Adhere to Agile/Scrum methodologies in solution delivery.
  • Adhere to ITSM methodologies for Incident Management and Change Enablement.
  • Continuously assess opportunities to improve ServiceNow workflows and user interfaces.

Required Experience:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent work experience with ServiceNow).


Technical Skills:


  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and scripting in the ServiceNow platform.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM.
  • Hands-on experience with Glide scripting and ServiceNow APIs integration.
  • Experience in database SQL queries and table management.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Adaptability and proactive approach in dynamic project settings.
  • Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Developer or other relevant ServiceNow certification is preferred.


Preferred Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and implementation.
  • Experience collaborating in multi-stakeholder environments.
  • A proven history of delivery excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Working knowledge or experience with other ServiceNow applications, such as ITOM Discovery, SAM Pro, HAM, VR Pro, Service Portfolio Management or other relevant applications.
